Deepika earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from India in 2022, where she conducted material balance analysis for a high-yield synthesis process at Osmania University and simulated heat transfer experiments using AVEVA Pro-II. Upon joining the MESA lab as a Master's student in 2022, she focused on cellular-level changes in cancer cells induced by microgravity, successfully defending her research in Summer, 2024. Currently pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Deepika is working on several impactful projects, including studying the effects of microgravity on various human cell lines, developing a diagnostic tool for tick-borne infections, and pioneering a cost-effective method for fabricating microfluidic sorting chips. Alongside her academic pursuits, Deepika is passionate about applying chemical engineering principles to address healthcare challenges and beyond.   She also enjoys creative endeavors such as design, painting, and gardening 🌱
